Camille's Pre-Qualifications...for her man

About a year ago I gave Cami (my sister-in-law) a list of qualifications that her future husband would have to meet.

They included:

1.) Be a Temple worthy member of the church
2.) He has to like, if not love, basketball
3.) She would have to see him wearing basketball shorts and church socks
4.) And of course, I would have to approve.

Well, apparently there is a young man...that she says has accomplished these already. So she asked me to make a longer list. I call these my 8 "He has to's". Here ya go.

5.) He has to take you rollerblading while playing UNO on a moving table
6.) He has to dig a trench with a pick to prove he will work for his family
7.) He has to spend time babysitting a two year old while her parents are on a date
8.) He has to bake a chocolate cake
9.) He has to make you laugh
10.) He has to know the scriptures and read with you while courting
11.) He has to ask your Father for your hand in marriage
12.) He has to do the mac arena (the dance) in front of your family

You're a great sister and I love you.

It's not very often that I'll make a post on my blog. In my mind the post must be about someone or something extremely important... My wife is without doubt the perfect wife for me. She is my better half, the compliment to my strengths, and the caulk of my gaps. :) Without saying much but saying a lot, she is the greatest mother and wife of all time.

Today is a good day. No, today is a great day. For I have slain the giant, bashed the beast, and conquered the unconquerable.

Yesterday I had my day in court for the "too much dirt in the trailer" ordeal. Remember This? Which Lead to This?

For those who don't know I was charged with two penalties. One for not having control of the trailer brakes from the cab of my truck ( by Arizona State Law all half-ton pickups pulling a double-axel commercial trailer must have a device in the cab to directly control the brakes of

the trailer) and Two for being overweight by 300 lbs.

The courtroom was much like this. The judge upfront, the officer at the prosecutor's desk, and me in the hot seat! The judge explained the proceedings. Then put us under oath. After the officer stated his case I cross-examined him on a couple of things and then... begged for mercy. The judge was very kind and listened to everything I had to say then proceeded with his ruling.

"On the first charge of not having the proper controls for the trailer brakes I am holding the defendant responsible and requiring payment of $127.50. On the second charge of excess load by 300 pounds...", sweat dripping down my face with heart pounding, " I am dismissing the charge entirely." "Yea!!!!!", said Scott. I think the judge realized that 300 lbs was nothing compared to the entire load (the load was about 9850 lbs) and thought it to be a ridiculous charge.

Another strike for freedooooooommmmmmmm!!!!!

Someone's smoking pot in my backyard!!!!!

So tonight Jen and I were hanging out playing on the computer when we heard a loud bang in the alley behind our house. Neither one of us had any idea what the noise could have possibly been. Our next door neighbor called to see if we were making the noise...No!!! So Jen and I grabbed a flashlight and ran to protect our vehicles. We found 4 guys in the alley. When they saw us coming they ran like chickens from a wolf! I jumped in my truck and put the pedal to the medal chasing them down the alley. I could smell the marijuana in the air. Unfortunately I lost them, but when I came back around the block I found Jen talking with police officers giving them info about where they turned and that I was following them. Just then the helicopter flew in and circled the neighborhood with the spotlight and infrared camera. Sorry to say, they got away...but the guys in this video don't and it's really funny... check it out.
